The use of robotization and automation results in absolutely safe and efficient product handling. The automated delivery is built to stack different products with the same print image.

The RSM520HD-DIGI-VARICUT cuts and grooves folding cartons and IML labels highly efficiently, making it the perfect and economical solution for your production. The innovative rotary cutter features hybrid drive technology for format-independent processing, combining continuous and intermittent sequences during the cutting and grooving process. The whole process takes place in an in-setting mode, always in register with the print. In this way, a wide range of print format lengths can be covered with one die set.

Proven rotary die cutting technology

The modern rotary cutter is characterized by the use of high-precision magnetic cylinders with high-energy magnets installed in high-performance cutting units. This proven technology has been successfully used for years to process IML labels.


The equipment of the high-performance cutting unit includes:

  • Preset pressure settings
  • High precision bearings and bearing blocks
  • "Gap Control" system for precise wear compensation of the cutting edge
  • Centrally located quick lift-off device from the magnetic cylinder opposite the impression cylinder (without loss of register)
  • Impression cylinder, hardened and ground

The revolution in the creasing process

By using high-precision magnetic cylinders equipped with high-energy magnets, the rotary cutting machine ensures proven rotary grooving technology. The magnetic cylinders are installed in high-performance grooving units and are equipped with:


  • Mechanical pressure unit with threaded spindles
  • High precision bearings and bearing blocks
  • Eccentric quick lift-off device for the upper magnetic cylinder without loss of register
  • Cross adjustment of the upper magnetic cylinder
  • Set gear pair with circumferential register adjustment
  • Positive and negative groove plates mounted on both magnetic cylinders

Optimal protection of the production process through antistatic device

The antistatic device ensures that high voltages are safely dissipated through the targeted use of discharge electrodes. In this way, the electrostatic problems are reliably eliminated, regardless of the material and process speed.

Vacuum controlled product run

The RSM machine has a full-surface vacuum belt for transporting the cut product. The use of a multi-vacuum chamber system ensures better product handling and transport to the stacking unit. No adjustment in respect to the material thickness is needed.
